As the year draws to a close, we at NAZCCA would like to share our accomplishments
In 2024 NAZCAA:
Established new Climate Action Teams (CATS), including a Peace and Justice CAT, an EV CAT, and a Bike CAT;
Hired an organizer for the Quad Cities area;
Recruited and trained 12 new volunteers and added 2500 people to our database;
Held 15 “Climate Talks for Everyone”, featuring local, national, international speakers and attracting international attendees;
Sponsored monthly “Spotlight on Climate” newspaper columns and radio spots;
Was instrumental in saving the City of Flagstaff's Carbon Neutrality Plan, preventing efforts to weaken and undermine it. Also instrumental in stopping the construction of the Fort Tuthill Hospital project and its plan for sprawling development
Vegan CAT in Flagstaff sponsored several documentaries on diet and climate change
Faith CAT sponsored events to educate the public on the climate change and honoring mother earth
As we move into 2025, we face new challenges and opportunities. Climate change deniers will dominate the federal government, determined to dismantle climate change advances and cater to fossil fuel industries. NAZCCA is already developing plans to combat these forces by amplifying grassroots engagement and expanding educational outreach.
BUT WE CAN’T DO IT WITHOUT YOUR SUPPORT!
Please make a year-end gift to NAZCCA. It’s easy, fast, and tax deductible. Go to https://www.nazcca.org/donate to donate. Consider a monthly donation to have even more impact. And while you’re on the website, check out our Climate Pledge and volunteer opportunities!
Thank you for supporting NAZCCA.
The NAZCCA board and staff wish you and your loved ones peace and prosperity during the holiday season and in 2025

About NAZCCA
NAZCCA urges us all in N. Arizona to step up:
Review please the climate action teams (CAT) and sign up for a CAT, or suggest a CAT you want to help build. For example, the STEP (Sedona Tools Empowering People) welcomes volunteers to a local CAT.
Please make a tax-deductible donation or earmark a donation to support one of our dedicated efforts.
Please consider volunteering even if uncertain. Visit NAZCCA.org, then sign up here. We will connect with you quickly.
At a minimum, ask your friends, neighbors, and even strangers to sign the NAZCCA petition online or download a paper copy!
Thank you for all you do. You make a difference.
