Global Climate Strike Flagstaff

  • Flagstaff City Hall 211 West Aspen Avenue Flagstaff, AZ, 86001 United States (map)

On September 20, three days before the UN Climate Summit in NYC, young people and adults will walk out of their homes, schools, and workplaces all across the US and world to peacefully demand action be taken to address the climate crisis.

The 9/20 Global Climate Strike will launch us into a week of global climate action to publicly call on world leaders and, here in the US, elected officials to take the action needed to save our futures, and to send a clear message that come Election Day 2020, we will take the climate fight to the ballot boxes.

This is our opportunity to grow the climate movement in this country and to invite even more people to join us. We have just over ten years to turn things around and our world needs each of us to step up and take action to save our futures.

In Flagstaff, many schools will be participating in the ways their students have organized. Everyone is invited to join the strike on the south lawn of City Hall at 10am. There will be music, dancing, and speakers throughout the strike. Bring your signs demanding climate action. If your kid's school is not hosting a strike, pick them up and bring them downtown! Sign up for the strike at 350.org!
