In this presentation, we'll talk about carbon pricing as the single most powerful tool available to reduce America’s carbon pollution and to get to Net Zero by 2050. We'll discuss how carbon pricing drives innovation toward abundant, affordable, clean energy; saves lives (nearly 1 in 10 deaths in the US is caused by air pollution); and stimulates the economy. We'll review the carbon pricing bills currently in Congress with a focus on the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act (HR 2307), a policy based on the carbon fee and dividend model that returns carbon fees paid by fossil fuel companies to households in monthly 'carbon cash back' dividends. We'll close with actions you can take to build political will for this big climate solution.
