Solutions to Climate Change: Personal or Political?

  • Cottonwood Community Library 100 S. 6th Street Cottonwood AZ United States (map)

Gary Beverly has a PhD in Physical Chemistry and taught at several colleges before working as a solar contractor and businessman. He is now retired and works to protect the Verde River by serving as Chair of the Yavapai Group of the Sierra Club and as President of the Citizens Water Advocacy Group in Prescott.

The presentation will explore both personal and policy solutions, including the Green New Deal and the book “Drawdown” followed by audience questions and discussion.

The question isn’t whether Climate Change is real: it is here, affecting our lives, now. The question is what do we do about it? Is the best strategy personal actions or national policy? Is it too late to make a difference?
