Community Conversation: Insights From the Pandemic and Where to Go From Here

The pandemic is both a crisis and an opportunity for us to reconnect with loved ones, learn new skills and try new approaches. It helps us all reflect on what’s really important in life. The pandemic has also revealed weaknesses and inequities in our society.

Come share what you’ve experienced and learned. We can’t “go back to normal", to the same behaviors and methods that contributed to this crisis. So instead, what do we want to create moving forward?

Together let’s explore our insights and the implications around these three broad areas:

  • What we grow & eat

  • How we work & learn

  • How we will get around & travel

  • What changes are likely to persist and how will that affect our community, for better or worse? How do we adapt? How can we create a more resilient, equitable and thriving community?

Four members of the Sustainability Alliance will be hosting this Community Conversation: Darcy Hitchcock (Sustainability Alliance), Richard Sidy (Gardens for Humanity), Jon Thompson (Healthy World Sedona) and Jim Gale (Northern Arizona Climate Change Alliance).

Presented by the Sustainability Alliance, an OLLI Partner.
