We are asking Flagstaff City Council to join other cities around the world to Declare a Climate Emergency and elevate the urgency of climate crisis toward immediate action.
NAZCCA's goal is to pack the house and use a Citizen's Petition to demonstrate our message loud and clear: WE ARE IN A CLIMATE EMERGENCY and the citizens of Flagstaff want our community to take action immediately.
Please show your support by attending the City Council meeting, joining NAZCCA and other community coalitions in attendance, to demonstrate our unified commitment for a call to action.
Come early and sign up to participate with a 3 minute comment, stating why a declaring a climate emergency and elevating the CAAP goals is important to you, your family, and our community.
Call on Flagstaff City Council members to join other cities around the world to declare a climate emergency
Thank them for passing the Flagstaff Climate Action and Adaptation Plan (CAAP), but express the importance of quick implementation
Mention that NAZCCA has gathered over 5000 petition signatures from concerned community members in Flagstaff who support climate action
We hope we can get as many people as possible to participate in this powerful statement to our city council. Declaring a climate emergency has the potential to shape Flagstaff into a community of action in the climate crisis and become an example to other cities in Arizona and across the country.
