Albert Lovejoy Memorial Social Justice Award Dinner

  • Granite Peak Unitarian Universalist Congregation 882 Sunset Avenue Prescott, AZ (map)

This event is part of the Yavapai Climate Change Coalition series of Earth Week events.

This is the ninth year that the Granite Peak Unitarian Universalist Congregation will honor an outstanding Yavapai County advocate for social justice. The award was established to honor Albert Lovejoy, a beloved member of Granite Peak and PUUF, who was known for a lifetime of social justice work.

This year’s honoree is Gary Beverly. He may be most well-known for his environmental activism on behalf of protecting the the upper Verde River but Gary’s justice leadership over the decades in our community has been extensive and varied, from Sierra Club to CWAG to Save the Dells to the Grand Canyon Trust and the list goes on.

Tickets are available for purchase until April 21 at GPUU (928-541-0000) or at https://gpuuc.ticketbud.com/lovejoy-dinner
